The incidence of women in Colombia has been important for the implementation of the Peace Agreement; However, the low implementation of the measures, a culture based on patriarchal values, social, economic and political inequalities for reasons of gender and the different forms of violence against women, continue to violate the exercise of human rights and sustainable development. inclusive.
With the implementation of the Women who Affect Peace Program, it is hoped to contribute to a lasting peace process with gender justice, creating conditions to strengthen the participation, influence and leadership of women and their organizations in various peacebuilding spaces.

The Program is developed in La Guajira, Bolívar, Nariño, Cauca, Putumayo and Meta and is implemented by a consortium.
This initiative is implemented by a Consortium formed by three Colombian organizations: Ruta Pacifica de las Mujeres, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (LIMPAL Colombia) and Popular Community Support Corporation (CODACOP), and two Dutch organizations: ICCO Cooperation, which leads the Program and HealthNet TPO.
The Women Advocating for Peace Program is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
